A useful laboratory enquiry starts with the decisions your facility needs to make. PBR supports client-submitted monitoring plate incubation, growth assessment and microbial identification where required, helping your quality team obtain agreed laboratory findings.
Quality teams may need a laboratory route for scheduled plate submissions, identification of recovered growth or an investigation after an unexpected finding. Share your facility context and written requirements so the work can be defined around the intended use of the results.
For collected monitoring plates, use GMP Environmental Monitoring to arrange incubation and growth assessment. For recovered bacteria, yeasts or moulds, use Bacterial & Fungal Identification to discuss the required identification detail. For product testing, discuss the relevant product service separately; a facility monitoring result does not replace a product assessment.
Tell PBR your anticipated plate volumes, collection schedule, requested reporting detail and identification requirements. Confirm acceptance and transport arrangements before the first collection. Communicate changes to your sampling procedure or monitoring schedule that may affect the laboratory work.
Your facility owns its sampling plan, site selection, alert and action levels, trend review and quality decisions. PBR provides the laboratory work agreed for the submitted material. Requesting plate incubation does not automatically include on-site sampling, cleanroom certification or monitoring-plan validation.
Bring the sampling procedure, plate and media details, expected submission dates, reporting needs and the question an investigation must answer. Ask about arrangements for retaining recovered growth if follow-up identification may be needed.
The plate service can support a client-managed program. Discuss the laboratory requirements before sampling; any additional advisory scope must be agreed separately.
Explain both needs to PBR so routine processing and any additional identification or investigation work can be distinguished in the agreed scope.
Arrange incubation and growth assessment of client-submitted monitoring plates, with identification where required.
Discuss identification of recovered bacteria, yeasts and moulds and the detail your investigation requires.
Discuss product microbiology separately from facility monitoring and recovered-isolate identification.
Review the information and arrangements to confirm with the laboratory before collecting plates.
Understand the different questions answered by growth assessment, enumeration and microbial identification.
Review monitoring-plan context alongside the laboratory service for collected plates.
Contact PBR with your sample or product, testing objective and reporting needs. Confirm the appropriate laboratory scope and submission arrangements before sending material.
