Air sampler rental is available within PBR Laboratories’ current service list.

Before booking, discuss the analysis you need so the sampler, collection medium and laboratory method are compatible. Rental equipment and laboratory analysis are separate services; confirm the scope of each in your quote. PBR serves projects across Canada, prioritizing Alberta and Western Canada; confirm sample transport and, where applicable, rental collection or delivery arrangements for your project.

Start with the Laboratory Analysis

Tell PBR whether the project requires bacterial enumeration, mould testing, combined yeast-and-mould enumeration or a selected organism test. A sampler suitable for one method may not be suitable for another. Rental should follow the selected analytical approach.

Confirm the Rental Scope

Ask for the equipment model, availability, rental period, included accessories or consumables, operating information, collection responsibilities and return arrangements. Confirm pricing and any applicable additional charges before booking.

Before Collection

Confirm the accepted collection medium and the information that must accompany each sample. Record the collection location, date, relevant instrument settings and air volume where applicable. Use the method-specific operating and handling instructions supplied for your project.

For complete documentation guidance, review Planning Air Microbiology Sample Collection and Submission.

After Collection

Identify samples clearly and follow the confirmed handling, transport and submission instructions. Return the rental equipment according to the agreed arrangements. Collection conditions are part of the result context, so keep a complete sampling record.

Common Booking Mistakes

Do not reserve equipment before confirming compatibility or assume plates, media, delivery, on-site sampling, calibration documentation or laboratory analysis are included. Each of these should be confirmed in the rental arrangement.

Ask About Rental Availability

Provide the planned collection date, project location, required tests and expected number of samples. PBR can discuss rental availability and laboratory submission requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do not assume it is. Confirm the equipment rental, consumables and laboratory analysis separately in the quote.

Sampler rental does not by itself establish that PBR will collect the samples. Confirm who will carry out collection.

The choice depends on the requested analysis. Confirm compatibility with PBR before booking.

Provide the expected dates when enquiring so PBR can discuss availability and the rental period.
