Our environmental microbiology services focus on identifying and quantifying microorganisms that impact diverse systems:

  • Corrosion, Biofouling, and Biofilm Microorganisms: We test for microorganisms responsible for corrosion and clogging of pipes, including iron-related bacteria (IRBs) and sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRBs). We also identify agents involved in biofouling, such as IRBs, SRBs, and heterotrophic aerobic bacteria (HABs).

  • Biofilm Analysis: Our testing identifies biofilm-forming microorganisms, including slime-forming bacteria and fungi, and evaluates their impact on natural and industrial environments.

  • Legionella Testing: We detect Legionella species in cooling towers, air conditioners, humidifiers, and drip pans to address major health concerns.

  • Bioremediation Applications: We provide microbial consortia capable of degrading harmful contaminants in industrial effluents and contaminated soils, including hydrocarbon-utilizing bacteria and nitrogen cycle bacteria.
